Description
This study examines the multilingual and multimodal practices employed by conductors and musicians to communicate and interact with each other during rehearsals of French and Italian symphony orchestras. It examines how using different languages and instructive and multimodal actions can contribute to the creation of a social order and reality within the institutional context of the orchestra rehearsal.
