This edition has been rewritten to cover the huge changes in acute cardiac care over the last six years. It takes into account the substantial and ever growing evidence base for cardiac care as well as the radical changes in the design and delivery of services from prevention through to rehabilitation.

Many of the contributions to the book come from an educational psychology background and as such approach the topic from an educational perspective. The authors are committed to exploring, reflecting and changing their own practice to meet this new agenda for change and in doing so hope to provide inspiration to others.
